InCadence is currently seeking an Electronics Engineer to work on our client site in Charlottesville, VA. ALL CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS AN ACTIVE TS/SCI CLEARANCE. The Electronics Engineer shall have specialized expertise in weapon system-of-systems to identify their sensor to shooter kill-chains and mapping the kill-chains to identify key vulnerability nodes. Over the course of the task, the employee shall develop the ability to apply knowledge of collected intelligence data, scientific, engineering (specifically, thermodynamics, mechanics, aeronautics/astronautics and use of energy), or technical principles, weapon technology, combat environments and tactics to develop an assessment of foreign nations' military intentions and the capabilities, limitations, and vulnerabilities of their military systems or processes. Specific topics of interest include, but are not limited to: armor and anti-armor, tanks, vehicles, unmanned systems, engineering equipment, mines and countermines, improvised explosive devices, artillery, rotary-wing aviation, infantry (e.g., small arms, body armor, ammunition, soldier systems), air defense, electronic warfare, directed energy weapons, camouflage/concealment/deception/obscurants (CCD&O), PNT, C4ISR, C4 networks and battlefield automation systems, counter-C4ISR, Electronic Warfare (EW), and counter-EW.
 
Primary Responsibilities  
  • The employee shall have expertise in electronics engineering concepts as they pertain to determining the characteristics of current foreign military research on electronics and sensor systems and predicting future capabilities and battlefield effectiveness of such systems.
  • The employee shall have expertise in sensor, network, communication system, and battlefield automation analysis using COTS and government simulation tools that are required to develop studies on the vulnerabilities, sensor to shooter timelines, and cascading effects of weapon system and 
  • network degradation.  
  • Technical engineering analysis, including but not limited to computer aided design (CAD) models, key threat signatures, and software/embedded systems, is required to identify and document weapon functionality, capabilities and vulnerabilities.
  • The employee shall integrate and analyze information on foreign EW systems, communications and non-communications jammers, waveforms and equipment correlations of EW systems, radio electronic combat and air defense countermeasures.
  • The employee shall have expertise in target tracking and target acquisition radars incorporating advanced technologies such as antenna theory, low- probability-of-intercept signals, signal processing, sensor and data fusion, and electromagnetic-wave propagation in a multitude of environments.
  • The employee shall employ knowledge of complex physical and mathematical principles associated with operation of a radar including; detection theory, antenna theory, electromagnetic wave propagation, and radar signal processing into producing all-source intelligence products

  • Career level with a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts.
  • Working under only general direction, provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
  • Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
  • Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Master's and 3 to 5 yrs of experience.
  • Willing to travel as required.
